Had a great time working out with Blake and Ryan in the gym. We did a mixed back and shoulder workout. Good workout. It was really the first time Blake has been in a gym.

Bicep superset workout with leg workout. Focused on technique and reps, not weight. No squats. Leg presses, leg curls, extensions, abductor and adductor. Biceps were flat bar, single dumbbell, and hammers

Hard workout with Ryan. I can’t keep up with him on crunches. I think he did over 200 various types of crunches. We did bent over rosw, seated rows, two types of pull downs an bent over dumbbell pulls

I did at least 120 crunches. Ryan is showing signs of strength and re-shaping. It’s great to be around for him.

All I want for Xmas . . .

I have discovered that I am the world’s biggest baby when it comes to riding in the cool weather. Even here in Florida, where a cold snap brings it down to 45 degrees, the cool weather keeps me from riding. I don’t know whether its the thin clothing or the cold wind in my throat, but I don’t like it. Haven’t really ridden the bike now in eight weeks. Yikes!! All I want for Xmas is a heat wave and a long sunny afternoon to ride.

Since it’s too cold, I have been hitting the gym. I had a good chest workout with Ryan. Performed flat and incline bench. Standing cable flies and the press flies. Ryan is moving up in strength to be sure. Also flat bench dumbbell flies and then single arm dumbbell extensions. he stayed and did arms too. I have a Christmas party

Heavy weight sets with Ryan. Flat, incline, decline, cable flies, dumbbell bench. Biceps and triceps with Ryan too. Straight bar curls, dumbbell curls, hammer curls, concentration curls, straight bar tricep press, rope extensions, single pulley tricep presses.

Worked very hard on back and arms with Ryan. He’s going to be sore.

Routine:

4 x 10 seated machine pull downs
4 x 10 seated row
4 x 10 machine reverse pull downs
3 x 10 hammer pulls
3 x 10 standing bent over rows
3 x 10 shoulder shrugs
3 x 10 seated military press

Usual arm workout of preacher, standing dumbbell and hammer curls with flat bar tri presses, rope tri extensions and single pulley tri presses.

Ryan is really putting in the effort. It is a joy to get to spend that much time with him.
